Beautiful capture of what looks to me to be a Pacific spiketail dragonfly. Gorgeous bokeh background to show it off.

Dragonflies are also believed to be a sign of new beginnings, hope, and change. In many cultures, they are seen as symbols of strength, courage, and happiness. So whether you're looking for a little extra luck or just enjoy their beauty, dragonflies make wonderful lucky charms

Wonderful capture Brooks, have never found them easy to capture!

I have the perfect spot in the garden, Renata! I watch for them. I have found that they return over & over to the same vantage points. Good luck...and thank you!

A spectacular looking dragonfly, wow I do love these magical flying visitors. I have never seen one quite like this, it is of course a superb capture! Do you ever notice when you are out in your garden trying to capture a butterfly or a flower they seem to come very close as if to say, hey, take a picture of me!! lol Has happened to me, of course half the time I believe some of these beauties are spiritual visitors for sure. But, who knows! Beautiful work I love to remember and dream about, missing them right now.
Brooks Garten Hauschild replied:
Thank you SO much for your visit, Sharon! Appreciate your thoughtful, fun comments...and yes, I do think of them as special visitors. Thank YOU!
