Description
My husband John & I came upon this gorgeous field of wild sweet peas in the countryside near Ashland just as the sun was setting behind the hills ~ a special Mother's Day bouquet! We, of course, had to go traipsing about in the fields like kids before spying a 'comfy' rock to sit on & have our snack. Took some shots [with the cameras!] while being serenaded by songbirds & embraced by soft fragrant breezes ~ sweet, as in 'sweet peas'! Love the tree growing out of one of that big rock, which looks a little like 'bonsai' according to my old friend Brian Tada.
FIRST place in 'Photography - Meadows' contest! What a wonderful surprise. Thanks so much for voting, everyone!

Sharon, this was a one of a kind day it turns out! We've gone up to this same place every year around Mother's Day never to see the same visions of purple sweet peas, lighting or trees. They seem to have lost their magic! Thank you for your kinds words & support.
